Sam Turner Cuffstown Rumble aka Billy Whiz

Cuffstown Rumble

Aka Billy Whiz is my twenty-three-year old 14hh traditional Gypsy cob who I competed up  to Grand Prix.

I have been fortunate enough to own Billy since he was a five-year-old.  I have produced him myself with the help of some amazing trainers, progressing from Intro through the levels, and feel extremely lucky to have my horse of a lifetime. Billy has also competed successfully in eventing, showing and Jump Cross.

Billy loves sledging at the seaside and in the snow. He adores apples, cuddles and showing off. He is now retired from competition and enjoys hacking round the Cotswolds and                                       whizzing off!

Bricklehampton Court Cedric

Aka Cedric was my ten-year-old 14.3hh traditional Gypsy cob who I bought as a five year old just sat on and ready to start his education.

This little horse sole my heart he had so much character but was a big fairy.

I really focused on ground work and then  experiencing life at shows and demos watching his stable mate Billy Whiz to build his confidence. He then became my best Demo horse!

Worcester he stared his competition career British Dressage going straight in at novice then through to area festival finals gaining a wild card to the Elementry Nationals.

2022 he won the  Associated Cob Championships Medium Silver.

2023 he was flying and in the top six Medium finals working well towards Advanced Medium.

May 2023  we lost him to a horrid autoimmune disease that still has no cure.

            I am beyond devastated.

Duke & Prince

Duke is a four year old cob unbacked                    standing at 14h

Prince is a 3 year old cob unbacked                       standing at 12.3h

I went to view Duke May 2023 the owner had bought him home Sept 2022 with a questionable start in life. She also had Prince as he was bought to keep Duke company.

It was clear the owner sadly had to part with them both and wanted a  good home only.

After viewing both ponies understanding the history and seeing them move it seamed right to take them together.

Angus

Gus is a sports horse 16.1h now twenty eight years young .

They broke the mould with this horse, he is one in a million and has been in my care on and off for over 20 years, Belonging to a dear friend.

He successfully competed in many disciplines, eventing with a young lad up to advanced. Dressage with his owner and then later in life he settled into a steadier life show jumping beach rides and hacking.

Gus has been retired now for a while and lives his well deserved life with me in Worcester.

He gets lots of fuss and is still pampered to                                   the full.

Floranicity

Aka Filly who was my 16.2 h seven year old Warmblood mare.

I bought Filly in 2017 as a yearling to be my dream dressage horse.

I took my time training  her to allow her to develop. We had lots of fun In-Hand   building a good solid foundation for the future.

I Lightly backed her in 2020 and turned away with more ground work including             some horse agility.

2021 We re-started her ridden education, gaining experience hiring area's, In-Hand & ridden demos raising money for the RDA  and helping us to gain confidence with a crowd and bigger atmosphere's,  then onto pole clinics and sponsored rides.

Being very thoughtful to her age and growing we took are time.

The wheels would feel square at times so I would back off a little but it became clear something wasn't right.

Sept 2022 she had bone chips removed both fetlocks, I gave her the rehab and winter In-Hand, after six months we started ridden work but still I wasn't happy.

May 2023 a bone scan diagnosed my worst fears and took the decision out of my hands, we had to say good by.

Filly taught me so much and that I will always be grateful of.

She broke my heart but gave me treasured memories.
